Archangel Michael

The picture shows Archangel Michael, the chief archangel, who is one of the most revered archangels in the Abrahamic religions. In Orthodoxy, he is called the Archangel, which means "the head of the holy army of Angels and Archangels." In the Book of Revelation, Archangel Michael acts as the main leader in the war against the dragon-devil and the rest of the rebellious angels. "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels, but prevailed not, and there was no place found in heaven, and the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, whose names are the devil and Satan."
