Biography

Mamaev Alexander Danilovich was born in 1943 in Kamchatka. His father, Danila Mamaev, was an artist who died in Kamchatka during the Great Patriotic War. During his childhood in Atkarsk, where after the war Alexander lived with his mother, a doctor, and his older brother, he attended an art group and often made copies of paintings. Later he moved to Saratov, where in 1971 he graduated from the Saratov Medical Institute with a degree in general medicine. He was the chief artistic designer of the museum department.
He completed an internship at the first city hospital named after Lenin in Saratov, studying surgery, and subsequently worked as a doctor in the department of vascular surgery. In 1982 he defended his Ph.D. thesis.
In 1981 he was hired as an assistant at the Department of Hospital Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine. Being a student, and then a doctor and employee of the Department of Hospital Surgery, for more than 30 years A. Mamaev has been the author of numerous stands in the table of posters and slides on educational and methodological work. He performed the animated part in two replicated educational films.
Along with surgical activities, he was an art designer in several organizations.
All his life he has been painting in oil , working in the landscape genre. A constant source of inspiration is the Volga nature, as well as his favorite fishing.
