The lilac was already fading then. And I just finished my academic practice. There were several days to create a still life, until this bouquet completely withered. The need to write the work quickly only helped my initial idea. I wanted to solve the lilac in the still life as little as possible salon-like, to create the effect of sketchiness, vivacity, "authenticity" of the motif and the first feeling of it. I wanted to get away from the detailed prescribing of each petal, from the dry story, which often deprives us of the opportunity to "feel".
