Part 1. Azerbaijan. Baku

Road art is a unique direction of painting: depicting roads and way. The girl travels from painting to painting through the countries of the East. In the first painting of the series, she admires the magnificent palace of Shirvanshahs. The narrative is static, and on the lush skirt is a scheme of the city of Baku, where she is at the moment, taken from google earth service.
The girl is in a perpetual search for places where she feels good, in search of places of power. The concept of the project is that in these days of globalization we are increasingly going on the road in search of ourselves and our ideal home, forgetting that life happens here and now. I was inspired by my favorite childhood book “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and my passion for travel.

About the materials: Deep green color prevails in the paintings, like on google earth maps. The texture of the stone is created from glass chips cast in epoxy resin. I use silver leaf as an integral element of my art, a reference to the family name of my ancestors. Suitable for interiors of green, multicolor and neutral colors
