Biography

Tatyana Kurkova was born and lives in St. Petersburg and she is close to the subjects of her native city, its history. The author also gets ideas for creativity in the open air, Tatiana spends a lot of time on plein airs. For inspiration she needs to communicate with nature, sea, mountains. These are trips to the Caucasus, Adygea, Abkhazia, Dagestan, annual plein airs at the Academic Dacha of artists I.E. Repin.
In her art Tatiana Kurkova likes to experiment and combine different styles and directions of fine arts. The artist is inspired by what evokes a response, a positive charge from the process and from joy, the gratitude of people gives strength to create new works.

The motto of the artist are the words of Konstantin Korovin "I firmly declare that I do not write for myself, but for all those who can enjoy the sun, the infinitely varied world of colors, forms of colors, who never ceases to marvel at the ever-changing game of light and shadow".
The artist's works are in private collections in Russia, the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, Japan, the Netherlands and the Dominican Republic.
