Plein-air summer landscape in oil. Aspen grove by the river
Author: Polischuk Olga
canvas/oil 30cm x 40cm 2020
Painting plein-air summer landscape in oil, on primed canvas on hardboard. The landscape is painted en plein air in several sessions, with a preliminary sketch. The picture shows the natural state of the weather. The suns rays illuminate individual branches of trees and shrubs, and also fall on a dried fallen tree. The suns glare from the water is reflected on the tree trunks closest to the water. The old bark on the fallen tree has not yet fallen off everywhere and sometimes hangs from the trunk of the tree. Blue leaves of aspens fall on the water and small boats slowly float along the river. Old reeds are stuck between the branches of a fallen tree and do not let the leaves float freely, but some still manage to slip through the barrier.
