Russian birch

This artwork was painted outdoors in one of the Moscow parks near my house. It was a warm summer day, many people walked and I hid from the heat in the shade of birches. I listened to the sound of the stream and the birds singing.. And I watched the light break through the birch trees and reflected this in my work.
