Levitan Church

This landscape was painted by me on the plein air in the city of Plyos, old russian town. This church stands on a hill above the Volga River. And this hill was named Mount Levitan, in honor of the famous Russian artist Isaac Levitan. He painted a similar church that burned down and this one was set up. His work is called Above Eternal Peace and is known throughout Russia.
