Porcelain figurines were very popular in Soviet times and were available in sideboards or on dressers in almost every family… I remember this beautiful Uzbek girl from my childhood. She delighted me with her colorful, unusual national attire, and most importantly, the presence of many pigtails. I still remember the phrase that my parents jokingly told me when I looked at her: "A Muscovite has two pigtails, an Uzbek has twenty-five!"
