It was mid May in St Petersburg, I was walking around Petrogradsky district lost in my own thoughts enjoying nice sunny weather when I suddenly lifted my eyes upon this scene - just some random backyard on one of the narrow streets but it was so fascinating with bushes in full bloom and the shabby walls of the buildings looking quite joyous in the afternoon light. A scene you could walk by every day without even noticing made memorable.
The painting is created on 300gsm canvas textured paper using professional quality acrylic paints, color pencils, wax pastel and acrylic markers and covered with UV protective transparent age resistant fixative. Not framed but I suggest using a larger frame with white mats (5cm wide on each side at least).
