Severe orchids

During my life in fine arts I had been written lots of orchids.
I like that pretty flowers with well-defined structure, bright petal edges, harmonious plasticity of stems and spirited leafes contour so much.
And, of course, the color scheme of orchids most often was so cheerful, light and multicoloured.
But in the end I decided to find completely different way to paint that beautiful flowers.
In contrast to the happy and milticoloured color scheme I made them austere and ascetic.
In that work I created a frozen atmosphere, and only one orange accent warms that composition.
