The demon of modernity. A painting painted during the period of covid and coronavirus restrictions.
The disease is scary, the demon is a symbol of devilry and horror, so there was such an idea to paint a picture with a fallen demon. Which symbolizes falling, striving to the bottom, deterioration. The situation in the country with viral restrictions was very difficult. The coronavirus is like the image of a Vrubel demon. During the period of restrictions, a mask regime was introduced, this is a difficult time for all branches of life, and cultural (Museums and galleries). All cultural places can be visited only with a mask and a vaccination code. For other people, art and culture are closed and inaccessible.
In my painting, I convey my negative attitude to these restrictions. Dark colors, tension expressed in the elongated composition and in the look of the demon Vrubel-this creates food for thought.
