After the rain

It was raining in Sergiev Posad. The sun has just begun to peep between the clouds, and the first pedestrians dared to leave their shelters.
In the centre, a girl walks along the pavement. Her silhouette almost blends in with the wet asphalt, making her figure ghostly.
Enjoying the moment, she moves gracefully, as if dancing.
The street goes out to the Troitse-Sergiva Lavra, whose bell tower dominates the composition.
The painting reflects the feeling of the moment of transition from the lull in the rain to the movement of life. Another minute, and the pavements will be filled with other people, and it will again turn into an ordinary city street.
The painting is in the private collection in Serbia now.
