16th Arrondissement

This acrylic and oil painting shows a view of Paris from the roof of a house.
The author observed the illuminated Eiffel Tower at night from the top floor window of a house in the 16th arrondissement.
Apart from the tower, the city was mostly just individual points of light on a black background, which gave a certain mystical touch to the landscape.
The full moon directly over the top of the tower completed the sense of the unusual view of the city from this point.
The illuminated terrace of the neighbouring house can be seen on the left. It is as if to say that not the whole city is asleep yet.
The painting can be hung on the wall without a frame.
