Montmartre Museum's yard. View from the rose garden
Author: Lebedev Vladimir
canvas/oil 60cm x 50cm 2024
A sunny bright day in Paris. There is a small courtyard on the Montmartre hill at the Montmartre Museum, from which you can see the top of the hill with the water tower and the bell tower of the Sacre Coeur cathedral. The roses in the foreground create a sense of some dissonance, which is what attracted the author.
The painting conveys the feeling of seeing white-coloured buildings against a blue sky and framed by greenery, which seem to contrast with the bright red colours.
The painting can be hung on the wall without a frame, as the image is continued on the ends.
