Don't stay at home

The inspiration for this picture came to me in the main palace of Peterhof looking out the window on the first floor. Theres a charming collection of cacti in the most ordinary plastic pots. I froze at the perception of taunts in these walls, happy faces and beautiful sunny weather peeked through the cacti, through the lattice of the window frame. The suns rays lured me out of the walls of the building. We (people) deliberately build ourselves walls, restrictions, put roots and principles into them, and then we ourselves suffer from the conditions created. Staying at home is a choice, but going against your principles, pulling out roots and opening your heart is courage, a small victory.
