canvas, mixed media, 55*75 cm, 2019
I used a mixed technique to work on the painting. At first, she created the texture of the stone with a palette knife and structural paste, emphasizing the edges and shape. Then she covered the surface of the depicted mountains with acrylic, using not only shades of brown and gray, but also bright colors. This gives liveliness and emotionality to the picture. I managed to convey the transparent surface of the water with the help of oil paint.
The idea for the painting was born after a trip to Thailand. I was struck by the tropical forest, magical old trees, unusual waterfalls inside the forest.
