The strength of the mountains, their greatness always impress the traveler. I used a mixed technique to work on the painting. Created the texture of the stone with a palette knife and structural paste, emphasizing the edges and shape. Then covered the surface of the mountains depicted with acrylic, used shades of gray and purple. This gives a romantic and light image to the picture.
The places where the light falls on the fractures of the stone faces, on the tops, are covered with oil paint. I used a palette knife, creating rough strokes. I also painted the sky in oil. Thin transparent layers of paint, passing light, convey the texture of the canvas. Such a contrast of light sky, soft clouds further emphasizes the rough and uneven texture of the stone. I used pinkish and purple shades in my work. Balloons floating in the air add romance to the picture. Everyone has their own story, their own wanderers, their own road.
