Geghard monastery

Geghard (literally - "spear"), is also used the old name ayrivank ("cave monastery"), rarely Geghard - monastery complex, a unique architectural structure in the Kotayk region, Armenia. Located in the gorge of the mountain river Gokht (right tributary of the Azat river), about 40 km South-East of Yerevan. UNESCO is included in the list of world cultural heritage sites.
