I dedicated this still life to ripe, juicy cherries lying in a beautiful antique silver fruit vase. I chose a simple solid color background for the still life, which draws attention to these ruby "jewels".
I love to write still lifes. I like the combination of different objects and materials. Glass, metal, ceramics, fruits, fabric reflect light differently and have different textures. I admire each subject individually. And it’s very good when I manage to combine them into one whole.
