Lycian land

This place in the territory of modern Turkey was once Lycia. And from these lands comes the famous Orthodox Saint Nicholas of Mirlikisky, who is very revered in Russia. The sketch itself was painted from life in a couple of hours, it was very hot and humid. I think this place has changed a lot now. I liked the decorative theatrical sea and mountain in the background in the motif and the foreground full of reflexes from the light. A bush that got caught on a mountain range and rocks. The play of light and shadow is at the same time light and airy.
