I noticed this motif by chance while walking around Opalikha, and painted a plainair sketch. The garden and the household land were abandoned at that time and the owners did not appear. This led to the fact that in early or mid-May, at the time of the beginning of flowering of apple trees, forget-me-nots actively bloom on the ground under them, giving a blue color to the earth. There is a beautiful legend about the flowers of the forget-me-not, and in European culture it is associated with eternal love and fidelity. According to one legend, the forget-me-not got its name from a young girl who drowned while trying to pluck a flower from the water for her lover. She shouted one last time, "Dont forget me!" and a flower slipped out of her hand. There are quite a lot of legends about the flower. The forget-me-not is also used in heraldry by Masons as a secret sign of initiation.
