In 2023, after 20 years, he returned to illustrations of the Brothers Grimms fairy tale "Rapunzel". I wanted to write a couple of stories from a fairy tale, although the series has already been conditionally formed and published in both books and magazines. I chose this story to meet Rapunzel and the prince in the tower with the severed scythe, before he turns out to be blind at the bottom of the tower where the girl was imprisoned. I decided to portray the witch as not scary or elderly. Since appearance is not so important in this context. The plot of the fairy tale itself is, of course, a metaphor, an allegorical language as a prototype of relationships in society and sometimes in the family, a set of patterns of behavior, hidden meanings and conflicts of interest. In real life, this leads to unfortunate consequences. At the same time, in a fairy tale, most often the end is the victory of good over evil, which does not always happen in life.
