Biography
Was born Nov 11, 1922 in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan. From 1939 to 1941 has studied in the Astrakhan Art College (Astrakhan), but the Great Patriotic War interupted his education. Amasyan went on the front, was wounded. He could continue to study art already in peace time. In 1965 Pavel Grigoryevich entered the Adygei State Teacher Institute (nowadays Adygei State University, Maykop), which ended in 1970.
Since 1952 lived in Maykop, worked in the Adygei art workshops. Worked in genres composition, a portrait, a landscape, a still life. The artist actively participated in art life of Adygea, exerted a great influence on forming of local traditions in the fine arts.
The member of the Union of artists of the USSR since 1976. Honored artist of the Republic of Adygea (1997). Winner of an award of League of the World.
The member of art exhibitions since 1960: all-union, national, regional, territorial and personal.
His paintings are stored in "Art gallery" of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Adygea (Maykop), in the North Caucasian branch of State Museum of Oriental Art (Maykop), in the Krasnodar regional showroom of the fine arts, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
Has died Dec 11, 2001 in Maykop.
