Biography

Gennadiy Timofeevich Klyuzhin was born on 2nd of Feb. of 1935 in village Kochetkovo, Ivanovo region. From 1952 to 1957 has studied in the Ivanovo art school. from 1961 to 1967 - in the Moscow State Art Institute, named by Surikov (nowadays Moscow State Academic Art Institute of V. I. Surikov at the Russian academy of Arts).

From 1957 to 1960 Gennadiy Timofeevich has worked as the teacher of drewing in Kazakhstan.
Since 1967 he has moved to Maykop (nowadays the Republic of Adygea) where has been directed to work after institute. Since 1967 and to the end of life Gennadiy Timofeevich worked in the Adygei art workshops in Maykop. Since 1992 he has taught painting and the drawing in Republican College of Arts of U. H. Tkhabisimov.

The member of the Union of Artists of USSR since 1969.

The member of art exhibitions since 1965: national, republican, regional, city and personal.
Klyuzhin made numerous art trips. He regularly worked at Art dachas – in the Goryachiy Klyuch, on the "Academic dacha" named by I.E. Repin near Vishniy Volochek, in the most beautiful places of Lago-Naki, and Dombai, in Moscow, in Paris. He was the participant of the International open-air in Normandy and the Russian Winter festival in the city of Leviluye Pere.He was the participant of the International open-air in Normandy and the Russian Winter festival in the city of Leviluye Pere.

His paintings are stored in "Art gallery" of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Adygea (Maykop), in the Krasnodar fund of culture, in private collections of Russia and abroad.

Gennadiy Timofeevich Klyuzhin has died on the 19th of Sept. of 2016 in Maykop.
