Biography

Startseva Irina Valeryevna was born in the town of Volsk of the Saratov region on 16 February 1977. From an early age she has had a love for art and nature. Irina has always been interested in painting. Her first exhibition was in her 8th year at school. In 1996 Irina graduated with honors from the pedagogical college №1 of Volsk, with the specialization «Educator and organizer of artistic activities in pre-school institutions». In 1999 she graduated from the pedagogical University in Samara and received a qualification "Teacher of fine arts and drawing". From 1996 to 2002 she has taught at the arts school, at the pedagogical college and at the secondary school № 16.She taught fine arts, world artistic culture and drawing.
Now Irina lives in Volsk. She is married, brings up her two sons. Irina works as an artist. She has drawn a great number of still lives, landscapes, portraits. But her most favorite genre is animal drawing. Her pictures have been painted from life, on the basis of associations, perceptions, memories, and photos. In her works Irina reflects not only what she sees but what she feels. In her technique she tries to follow the photographic definition of the image.
On February 8, 2014 there was held Irina’s personal exhibition "With love to nature!" at the Museum of nature in Volsk. On May 28, 2015 her another personal exhibition "Colours of living nature" took place in the exhibition hall of the city of Balakovo. From March 4 to March 13, 2016, Irina has participated at Moscow international art salon "Image of time". On March 25, 2016 there was held her personal exhibition "There, where the sun wakes up…" in the exhibition area of contemporary art "Atrium" in Saratov.
