In the city of Tomsk

Once: important and factory,
now: a provincial town,
although the capitals gloss remains,
the traffic flow is crowded.

Roads, streets, facades,
faces flash from the crowd,
and even here and there fountains
create patterns from the water.

Cinemas and museums,
palaces, cultural gardens.
There are also shady alleys,
traces of the way of life of the past.

Its just a pity there is no hippodrome,
and the circus has gone into oblivion,
and some things have been demolished,
thats how life is here.

But otherwise it is quite welcoming,
student, not ostentatious.
Not indifferent to its fate.
After all, this city: my beloved.
