This painting was inspired by charity. In Russia before the Revolution, they celebrated "White Flower Day". This holiday took place in early May and all over the country people sold daisies, live and made of paper, and with the money collected they helped people with tuberculosis. At that time, this was a very acute problem. The disease was considered incurable.
I depicted the children of Nicholas II, who participated in a charity event, selling daisies on the streets of Yalta, and all the money went to the fight against this terrible disease.
This painting depicts the very moment of communication between the royal family and the townspeople. And in 1914, Tsarevich Alexei also took part in this action. The second painting in the series. Still available for purchase.
