Pokrovsky monastery is located on the right Bank of the Kamenka river in the Northern part of Suzdal. Founded in 1364 by Prince Dmitry Konstantinovich, but the current view of the ensemble formed only in the XVI century, when the monastery became a place of confinement tonsured a nun representatives of aristocratic families. In the XVI-XVII centuries the monastery was one of the largest in Russia.
