Friends with a Soviet childhood, do you remember going to the milk store or buying kvass with a three-liter can? Sometimes you stand in line and look at the floral ornament on the vessel being filled by the seller. Some have yellow with cornflowers, some have white with roses or blue with daisies.
My sister and I were usually trusted to buy 2 liters of milk so that we children wouldn’t spill the contents on the way home. And we carried the clanking can proudly, one by one, halfway each way, like adults, business assistants. And the can was filled entirely with kvass, because the summer drink was sold near the house, it was not difficult to carry.
Now, due to the loss of their relevance, the cans have gone to the dachas and the rare vessel serves a secondary purpose - as a basket for berries or as a vase for country flowers. And some even said goodbye to unnecessary trash.
