This artwork has a very unusual history, it found a new home, almost immediately after it was painted, without having time to visit any exhibition. Once I was sitting in a restaurant, having a cup of coffee, there was a bowl of cotton on the table, it was snowing outside the window. I looked at the snow outside the window, at the cotton on the table, and I came up with this picture, I cant describe exactly how it happens, Im not a realist artist, but the world around me makes my brain reflect, I come up with images that I express on canvas or paper, through paints. In this work, I saw everything except the face, and for another half a year the picture hung on the wall. Once my student drew next to this artwork, and I realized that her face, her image is in tune with this work, and asked her to pose. A couple of weeks later, after the canvas was completed, I was asked by the customer, in a free form, to repeat 2 of my early works, I completed the order, brought it to their house, and realized that this house was created for the work of "Flora", I showed her a photo of the work, she liked it very much, she immediately sent a photo of the work to her husband, he approved, and within 15 minutes, they made an advance and I sent the work to the baguette workshop. This canvas has settled in the very center of St. Petersburg, in an apartment with 6-meter ceilings, next to two other works of mine, I am sure they will not be bored together!
P.S. My favorite work of Rembrandt is "Flora", the canvas is in the collection of the Hermitage, I can contemplate it for hours.
