A cat's thoughts

Sometimes you look at a dog or a cat (it doesnt matter), and theyre looking at you, too, or somewhere else, off to the side, seemingly lost in thought. And you wonder, trying to guess their thoughts, what might be troubling them. For example, a cat is out for a walk, sniffing, looking around, and then sits down. Why is it sitting there, remembering something? Is it observing every movement of the air, every blade of grass? And what about that last autumn leaf...

It happens that the snow has already fallen, everything has changed, yet you continue to gaze at the last vestige of the bright autumn that has passed. And you cling to that bygone era, like a leaf somehow clinging to a branch, even though winter has already arrived.
