The threads of times have stretched out to us and future generations with invisible connections. The history of the Bendery fortress is multifaceted and rich. But, despite the wars and the change of owners, it continues to rise majestically on the banks of the Dniester thanks to Sultan Suleiman, who built it, as the tarikh said above the gates of the fortress.
