Village of Kolomenskoye situated on the road from Moscow in Kolomna, was founded, according to tradition, the inhabitants of the town of Kolomna, who had fled from the hordes of Batu Khan. The first written mention of the Kolomna - the Testament of Ivan Kalita in 1339. Originally Kolomenskoye was the estate of the Moscow Grand princes, later kings.
