In the 30s of the twentieth century, eucalyptus seedlings were brought from Australia and planted in Abkhazia to drain the swampy shores of the Black Sea. Its been almost a hundred years. There were frosts and droughts. Trees died, they were cut down, and the stumps gave new growth. The same few who had survived from the beginning rose above everything: above the other trees, the houses, the mountains. A gigantic eucalyptus tree grew on a rural street. In the winter of 2021, it dried up, and in summer, with the help of a crane and other equipment, the highest branches were cut down. Now there is a giant skeleton with stumps in the middle of the street. But eucalyptus lives on Olgas artworks!
