Previously, the street was named "Serov Passage", in honor of Anatoly Konstantinovich Serov (1910-1939), a test pilot who died in an aviation accident. Valentina Serova, wife of Anatoly Konstantinovich, is a famous Soviet theater and film actress, Honored Artist of the RSFSR. They met in 1938 and lived in the house of the HBC "Military Builder" Lubyansky Ave., 17.
