Tokmakov Lane. Behind the old mansion, built in 1860, the merchant of the second guild Alexey Ivanovich Kashirin (1831-1902), the old Church of the Ascension of the Lord on the Pea Field (built 1788-1793) was a time when there was a real pea field on this place. The first temple was built here back in the reign of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich (1596-1645). Now that time is already perceived as a saying - under Tsar Peas. Matvey Fedorovich Kazakov (1738-1812) is considered to be the architect of the modern temple (there is no exact information about the author of the project).
