The old Russian village of Hassi-Mki between the Gulf of Finland and Lake Ladoga. Like most northern Russian villages, thay are fabulously beautiful under the cover of white fluffy snow. In the picture is spring. A clear, sunny morning. Snow still lies on the roofs of the houses. Under the rays of the spring sun, the walls of wooden houses acquire a reddish color. From the chimneys goes white smoke. In the distance, behind the houses there are tall, well-proportioned birches. Their curly tops merge with pink frosty clouds. In the foreground of the picture from under the cover of the shadow of branchy trees on a snow-covered road ride the loaded carts that are accompany by the village men. On each side of the road is a low wooden fence, which is barely visible in the bushes.
