On the shore Oyat. 1969

This old painting by a famous Russian (Soviet) artist Mark Kremer is done in oil on cardboard. It was created in 1969 on plain air as a sketch. Not far from Lake Ladoga on the banks of Oyati, a forest of fabulous beauty covered the high hills. Among the dark branchy spruces are visible white trunks of slender birches. In a large meadow filled with sun, there are Russian log houses. In the distance, at the foot of the hill, a white car hid in the shadows. On the shore of Oyati a clear, sunny day.
