Biography
Artist Gennady Zmitrovich, graduated from the Institute. I.E. Repina, also received a philosophical education. This was significantly reflected in his work. Reflections on the history of the country and the world, psychological experiences of a person facing a choice of a life path are transferred to the visual sphere of art. The philosophical and psychological content is figuratively expressed in the sculptural and pictorial works of the author. In a number of works, the artist embodies his thoughts and feelings in mythological and religious subjects. Gennady calls his style symbolic realism.
Throughout his career, Zmitrovich was engaged in graphics, design art, animation, advertising, taught at the University of Technology and Design and at the Theater Academy. He has been working in the art workshops of the Mariinsky Theater for many years.
Gennady Zmitrovich enthusiastically engaged in sculpture and painting in various techniques, genres and sizes, using a variety of materials.
In conclusion, I would like to bring the thought of Ortega y Gasset, which is close to this artist: "The mission of art is to create surreal horizons."
