House with a spire." A series of drawings from the series "Wooden architecture of the city of Noginsk" continues. This time it is an outstanding architectural landmark of Noginsk, the famous house with a spire on Sanatornaya Street, 18, built in 1918! The building attracts attention with a dome with a spire and a charming semicircular veranda. Originally built for the chief chemical technologist B. Rosenthal, associated with the Morozov bleaching and dyeing factory, the house is the epitome of Art Nouveau style. The house is residential, it has 5 apartments and, like most of its peers, is not in perfect condition. Iron patches, an alien door and lining, and (where without them) some of the windows have been replaced with double-glazed windows. At least the native platbands are made exactly in size and preserved. The residents can be understood, they want to keep the wind out of the windows. As far as I know, the roof of the old house has leaked more than once and, in general, it requires major repairs and restoration. But, oddly enough, the object is not classified as a cultural heritage and does not allocate money for repairs. The drawing is made on tinted paper using a gel pen, a black pencil and chalk.
The drawing is in a private collection.
