Front view of a 19th century building in St.Petersburg #4

The pink mansion I depicted in this artwork is situated along Fontanka river embankment in Saint Petersburg, close to the Summer Garden and Mikhailovsky castle. It was built in its first half or the 19th century by architect A.Kavos. The building is remarkable not only for its beautiful facade and historical value but also because in 1921-1924 here lived one of the most famous russian poetesses Anna Akhmatova.
