Confectionery Charlau

The factory of chocolate of the trading house "K.A. Sharlau with the sons." An interesting monument of the eclectic period with the features of the neo -Orenaissance, which has a high plastic saturation of the facades and an expressive silhouette. Charlau has existed in Astrakhan since 1887, at first Charlau the Elder (Swiss citizen), and then his heirs, it included a confectionery and chocolate factory and was originally located in different buildings. The existing building was erected by Karl Arnoldovich Sharlau at the end of the 19th century according to the project of architect K.K. Premontovich. The house houses both production and personal apartments of the owners.
