The author drew this drawing in oil pastels on the shore of the Vorya River in the Abramtsevo estate. This work is just observing the awakening of nature. The opposite shore is covered with shades of green, and the transparency of the forest, inherent at the very beginning of May, has almost disappeared. The Vorya reflects this in his own manner, slightly blurring the image with his ripples, like brushstrokes.
Sitting on the shore of this quiet river in the shade of the park, you get distracted from everything. You just watch, listen, inhale the smells of the spring forest and think of something good.
The artist invites the viewer to share with him this lightness of contemplation, which is special for springtime.
