Biography

The constant indifferent cold, penetrating to the bone, the White endless Sea and the lonely, silent trees - sounds rather ominous, doesn't it? It was this kind of nature in the northern part of Russia that surrounded the life of one person. We don't have many colors and shades here, but there is something beloved, mysterious, romantic in this. The beauty of the cold expanses was stuck in a hot flame in the heart of a little girl. She saw the versatility, elegance, power of nature and appreciated the beauty of the people around her. This is where the story of another artist begins.
I am Ksenia Polzikova, an artist brought up in the harsh cold weather, but with an ardent passion for art. I felt a special thrill for drawing since childhood, when I first took a brush in my hand and after a while I realized that I always wanted to try my skills from the professional side.
I have a huge preference for oil painting, but I always try new tools, techniques, styles and materials. Enjoying the process, improving skills, developing my own writing style and gaining tremendous experience are important aspects for me.
My happiness is to be in the creative process, when I get to know more about myself and the world around me. For me, the truth of personal experiences is important without far-fetchedness and unnecessary obsession. My goal is not to be recognized by absolutely everyone. My goal is to convey the emotion for which I chose this plot of the painting, to achieve handling and exquisite work.
Color is of particular importance to me in my work. I spend a lot of time at the palette to find the most necessary and most suitable shade out of a thousand, which may not be noticeable to the naked eye, but creates the whole composition, fills faces with life, and nature with depth. It is the depth of color and its naturalness that creates magic - color can depict emotions with touching sincerity, restraint. The desired shade will be able to convey the energy of the model, a fleeting facial expression or emphasize the abundance of nature. In my work, I am driven by the desire to convey to the viewer the freshness and originality received from communication with the world, impressions. Each painting is a part of my soul.For this reason, I want to present to you a series of my paintings.
