The idea to tame moose and use them for human needs was born a long time ago. Historians believe that the Vogul (Mansi) tribes were the first to do this, who used elk as pack and fighting animals. It is reliably known that in the XVII century, moose were used in the Swedish troops, and in the USSR, the moose special cavalry showed itself brilliantly from the first day of the Finnish war. In the right corner there is an ancient bronze decoration in the form of a rider riding on a moose.
