Biography

1984 - was born in Yakutiya (Russian Federation)
1990 - was moved to Ukraine
2004 - 2007 - studided of pictorial art in Crimean Art School named of N.Samokish (Simferopol based)
2007 - 2009 - participation in diferent Crimean exhibitions
2017 - first own exhibition called "The Country Of Lost Dreams" that was exhibited in art-gallery "Madam Palmgran" in Lviv, Ukraine

Working in an unusually distinctive author's style, Dmitriy Kivasyov, the artist, creates his special world, his own system of images and meanings, sacral space of his own. In search of the themes for his works, he turns to the very archaic layers of culture, still keeping the evident links with twenty century's art. Thus, you should look for the source of your esthetic landmarks in the naive primitivists' art of the beginning of the twentieth century, in surrealists, and maybe even in most ancient primitive cultures and civilisations of the past. Experimenting with different graphic technics, sticking paper, jute and pieces of canvas to the canvas, Dmitriy crestes his own language, where striving for texture, monochromy and a keen sence of colour prevail; in his language the composition performance of lines and forms is more important than the usual reliability. Unusual and paradoxal combinations of images and meaninings created by Dmitriy Kivasyov in every his picture, provides a strong emotional impulse, strikes with its metaphoricy and sends the audience to the deep reflection around the eternal values.
