Deth of the old woman Apapil

A group of armed Lamuts (Evens) takes their anger out on an elderly representative of the Koryak people hostile to them. She did not have enough room in the boat when her tribesmen retreated by sea. The victim died from the wounds inflicted. According to legend, her body, petrified after being transferred to the hill, became an object of worship among the Koryaks.
