March snows

The blanket of winter is melting,
the triumph of existence is near:
nature will awaken again
from its long winter sleep.

The leaves will blossom again
on the slender birches, and then,
joy will settle in the soul,
the grass will turn green.

They will no longer sadden:
cold gloomy days,
warm nights will henceforth
become the limit of love.
