Spring still life

April is walking outside the window,
The snow is melting, the streams are babbling.
If time permits,
I go out for a walk. No ones --

the grace of a free life -
waiting at the gate.
Its okay that the wind is strong,
mouth open in a smile.

Theres no need to be upset...
that its cool outside.
Here in Siberia this is the norm,
in the spring time.

Its still nice to go out...
to the expanse of air masses.
In the stuffiness of my native apartment -
Ill rest in the evening.

In the meantime, together with April,
Ill take a walk around the yard.
And completely without false flattery,
Ill give him a compliment.
